how to pass javascript value as one of the parameter to controller method with Awesome Grid

I have a created an awesome Grid and I want a pass the value of id `<input type="hidden" id="connID" />` like `$("#connID").val()` as one of the parameters to controller method. My grid is as shown below: @(Html.Awe().Grid(documentGridId) .Url(Url.Action("GridGetItems", "Document")) .Parameter("DocumentFolder", Model.Item1) .Parameter("DocumentParent", Model.Item2) .Parameter("connID", $("#connID").val()) // this doesn't work ... So please let me know how to pass javascript value as one of the parameter to controller method.

  you could use the .Parent extension like this: <input type="hidden" id="connID" /> @Html.Grid("Grid1") .Url(Url.Action("GridGetItems", "Document")) .Parent("connID", "p1") and now in the `GridGetItems` action you can add the `p1` paratmeter public ActionResult GridGetItems(GridParams g, string p1) // p1 will get the value of connID Parent will also make the grid reload every time the connID will change, but you can set `.Parent("connID", "p1", false)` if you don't need that.
