AjaxCheckboxList bind to Checkbox parent, parent value always true

I want to use a checkbox as parent for the AjaxCheckboxList but the value of the checkbox is always true. view: @Html.CheckBoxFor(m => m.SelectFlag) @(Html.Awe().AjaxCheckboxListFor(m => m.SelectableItems) .Parent(m => m.SelectFlag, "SelectFlag") .Url(Url.Action("GetItems", "AjaxCheckboxList")) Controller: public ActionResult GetItems(int[] v, bool SelectFlag) { var selectableItems = new Dictionary<int, string> { {1, "TEST1"}, {2, "TEST2"}, {3, "TEST3"} }; v = v ?? new int[] { }; return Json(selectableItems.Select(m => new SelectableItem(m.Key, m.Value, v.Contains(m.Key)))); } SelectFlag always true in the controller Why?

  it's because the value of the checkbox in js is always true, have look here: http://aspnetawesome.com/forum/question/542/bind-grid-parameter-to-a-checkbox http://aspnetawesome.com/forum/question/650/grid-with-checkbox-as-parent basically the solution is to use an AjaxCheckboxList with one item instead, or create you own js friendly checkbox
