discount for upgrading to version 8.0 from 7.0

My team really loves using your guys' products and we had two questions. 1. Is there any sort of discount provided for the "ASP.net Core MVC Awesome Components v. 8.0" if we already own version 7.0? 2. When upgrading to version 8, everything is "backwards compatible" so to speak so long as we follow the upgrading instructions correct?

  If you bought the previous version less than 1 year ago, you'll get the current version for free. There may be some changes necessary depending on what features you've used. For each release we have instructions for migration: example for v. 8 https://www.aspnetawesome.com/learn/release/Version8-0#Migrating-from-previous-versions you should go through each version release page from 7 to 8 and have a look, let us know if you encounter any issues in the process

  • I appreciate your response and thank you for your work so far. So just to be clear, if we bought the version >1 year ago then we are just out of luck and have to pay full price correct?
