Is it possible to only collapse a TreeGrid folder on clicking of the icon, rather than also collapsing on clicking the label

I am trying to support multiple select of folders and children which I am able to do with `.Selectable(SelectionType.Multicheck)` but the action of collapsing the folder on selecting the label, means that you can't select both a parent folder and child, and have them both visible, as selecting the parent collapsed the folder. Is it possible to intercept the click, so if the click is on the icon then it collapses the folder, otherwise it selects the folder, rather than doing both? Again, we have the same problem when expanding the folder, where if you click on the icon to expand the folder, then it deselects the folder.

  you can set `CollapseOnHeaderClick` : @(Html.Awe().Grid("TreeGrid1") .CollapseOnHeaderClick(false)) which will stop collapsing when you click outside the collapse button, (there's also the `awe-nonceb` class which if used on a div/span inside the row, clicking on that element will not collapse the row) but you'll still be selecting when you click collapse button, and for that use this script for now: $(function() { $(document).on('awerender', '.awe-grid', function() { $(this).find('.awe-ceb').addClass('awe-nonselect'); }); });

  • The CollapseOnHeaderClick worked as expected, but the extra script didn't seem to work on awerender. However, as the data in my tree doesn't change apart from on load, I tried putting the addClass line into my aweload function and it worked. Many thanks

  • depends which version you're using, it should work in the latest (5.4 atm), you can also see awerender being used in awem.js
