Column header vertical alignment erratic

Hi Some of my column headings consist of 1 word others of 2 words. The vertical spacing of headings across the grid is uneven. How can I get all headings vertically centred? Thanks

using css, set text-align: center or vertical-align:middle, depends what you need

Thanks, but to which class to apply the style? Thanks again - center works but vertical-align doesnt fix it. Turns out that width is the problem. For some reason if the width is too narrow vertical positioning is erratic.
