Grid Inline Edit Bit/Bool Field

I have numerous tables with flags that I want to be able to edit. I could make a workaround by using a Y/N Dropdown, but I would much rather have a checkbox. I have this so far: new Column { Bind = "SendEmail", Header = "", Width = 4 }.Mod(a => a.Inline("")) but I don't know what to put in the Inline() to make it work.

  you need to add this to MapToGridModel: return new { ... SendEmail = o.SendEmail ? "Yes" : "", SendEmailChecked = o.SendEmail ? "checked='checked'" : "" and in the view you can have this: new Column{ Bind = "SendEmail" }.Mod(o => o.Inline("<input type='checkbox' name='SendEmail' value='true' #Value />", "SendEmailChecked")), note #Value will be replaced with SendEmailChecked model prop value of course you can create a custom extension like InlineBool etc. so you don't have to write the format string every time ( look at ColumnModCfg.cs )

Is this kind of what you were talking about? public ColumnModCfg InlineBool(string name, string valueProperty = "") { info.Format = "<input type='checkbox' name='" + name + "' value='true' #Value />"; info.ModelProp = name; info.ValProp = valueProperty; return this; } and then: new Column { Bind = "SendEmailText", Header = "Notify", Width = 9 }.Mod(a => a.InlineBool("SendEmailText", "SendEmailChecked")),

  • I've made some changes, when ValProp is "" it will use ModelProp; name and ModelProp most of time should be the same (ModelProp used for validation, the name of the input will bind to the viewmodel property)
