Awesome Grid inline editing demo - how to differentiate Delete action methods in multiple grids scenario.

I am trying Awesome grid(eg: GridInlineEditDemo) first time. I have multiple grids in View. See there is a way to differentiate Edit/Create action methods using Mod(o.PageInfo().InlineEdit()). the GridInlineEditDemo uses one Controller with one "Delete" action, I want to have 2 different Delete actions for 2 grids on the same controller public ActionResult DeleteGrid1(int id, string gridId) { var sc = GetCriteriaById(id); return PartialView(new DeleteConfirmInput { Id = id, GridId = gridId, Message = string.Format("Are you sure you want to delete Criteria <b>{0}</b> ?", sc.Name) }); } [HttpPost] public ActionResult DeleteGrid1(DeleteConfirmInput input) { var sc = GetCriteriaById(input.Id); UpdateCriteria(sc.Id, sc.Name, sc.Requirement, sc.Value, "N"); return Json(new { input.Id }); } public ActionResult DeleteGrid2(int id, string gridId) { var sc = GetCriteriaById(id); return PartialView(new DeleteConfirmInput { Id = id, GridId = gridId, Message = string.Format("Are you sure you want to delete Criteria <b>{0}</b> ?", sc.Name) }); }

  in CrudHelpers.cs replace the InitDeletePopupForGrid method with this: public static IHtmlString InitDeletePopupForGrid<T>(this HtmlHelper<T> html, string gridId, string crudController, string action = "Delete") { var url = new UrlHelper(html.ViewContext.RequestContext); var result = html.Awe() .InitPopupForm() .Name("delete" + gridId) .Group(gridId) .Url(url.Action(action, crudController)) .Success("utils.itemDeleted('" + gridId + "')") .OnLoad("utils.delConfirmLoad('" + gridId + "')") // calls grid.api.select and animates the row .Height(200) .Modal(true) .ToString(); return new MvcHtmlString(result); } use it like this: @Html.InitDeletePopupForGrid("gridid1", "MetaData", "Delete") @Html.InitDeletePopupForGrid("gridid2", "MetaData", "Delete2")

  • Thank you. It is working now. But I had to add two new Delete partial views to display the delete confirmation message.

  • that's up to you, you can reuse one or create a view for each action

  • How can I use the existing View to display Delete confirmation message as we are changing the Delete Action Method name? If there is a way to use the same view, I don't want to create new ones unnecessarily.
