How to order the rows in Grid and update the order number in Database

I am looking for an example where we can order the rows in Grid and update the order number in Database. Ideally something like drag and drop a row and update the all the rows orders automatically. TIA.

this would require some custom js code, you could have up and down buttons, or drag and drop, and to update the Db you would have an ajax call; what is TIA ?
